Volonne,
Cradle Village
|
|
|
Volonne,
backing onto a rocky peak with two medieval towers
on the real Route Napoléon (on the left bank of the
Durance), looks towards the Lure heights in the west.
This cradle village, with its rich, varied land, woods
sloping down to the valley which has orchards all
along it, is less than 10 km. from three A51 Val de
Durance motorway exits &endash; Peyruis to the south,
and Aubignosc and Sisteron to the north.

Volonne,
belonging to the District of the Moyenne Durance,
is turning towards the development of arts and crafts
activities. The quality of its village life owes as
much to the preservation of well-integrated, harmonious
town planning as to the activities being developed
by the numerous, active associations.
The
mountains, the water and the sporting infrastructure
offer a varied series of leisure activities: hikes
on the sign-posted paths, mountain biking, bathing,
tennis and many others...
