The site, dominated by its "Roc", a gigantic limestone cliff of 184 metres, is one of the most striking in Haute-Provence. Castellane is the very essence of a Provençal village. The Alps of Haute-Provence enjoy an exceptional climate and a pleasant temperature in all seasons. In summer, the nights are cool and refreshing after the heat of the day.
