Aiglun, on the real Route Napoléon, is a commune standing 8 km. to the south-west of Digne les Bains, in ancient times called "Castrum de Agleduno", referring to the eagles that used to circle around over the summit of Puy Hill. Later it was called "Aiglun la Noble" because 7 aristocratic families were living on its territory .

Today Aiglun, with some 1,200 inhabitants, has got modern facilities and infrastructure. Moreover its Business Park has been awarded the label "Charte de Qualité des zones d'activités économiques du Conseil Général et du Conseil Régional" (Departmental Council and Regional Council Quality Charters)
